* At the end of the 4 month course period, each student will receive a set of clippers, scissors, a comb, nail cutters and ear cleaner as their own
** Four months is the recommend time frame for the basic grooming course to cover all areas
*** If student does not want to continue with the course they must inform Sandy with 2 weeks notice and the course fee will not be refunded

Grooming Services

We recommend that you groom your dog every 6 to 8 weeks. We recommend this for breeds such as Poodles and Bichons (curly coats), Shih Tzus and Yorkies (drop coats), or Westies and Airedales (wire coats). If you have a breed such as Pomeranians, Shelties, or Goldens (double coats), or Jack Russells and Labradors ( smooth coat ), we still recommend every 6 to 8 weeks, as the dogs shedding is then kept in control. Why wait for clumps of hair left on the carpet! Who needs to do extra vacumming!

Each dog can have different coat types within their breed. The more cottony coats can be difficult to maintain matt-free and fluffy, so we offer program grooming. This is a full grooming done every 1, 2, or 3 weeks at a reduced rate. This helps the family to keep their pet exactly how they like, fluffier and fuller coated. This also keeps families cope with mild allergies.


Dog Grooming Checklist

With every dog grooming, you can expect...

  • Full bath with Petsilk Shampoo (Rainforest, Whitening, Medicated, Deep Cleaning, etc)
  • Conditioners
  • Nails trimmed
  • Ears plucked and cleaned
  • Anal glands expressed
  • Clipping, undercoated, or hand stripping (as per breed requirement)
  • Hand blow drying and comb through
  • Bandanas, bows, perfume, nail painting, hugs and kisses

Cat Grooming

We offer Cat Grooming for the finicky feline. Depending on the patience of your cat we can do a full bath and brush out or a shave. For full details and a quote please call our salon and ask for Brenda or Sandy.

  • $7 Nail Cutting while you wait
  • $7 each “A La Carte” groomings such as face trims and anal glands expressed, while you wait
